It was very simple to install and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. It's quieter than any chain driven opener I've ever seen and has a smooth start and stop. My only minor complaint (and it's mostly because of my short, stubby fingers) is that the wire connector on the unit could be larger to make it easier to feed the wire ends into it. I don't usually write reviews, but I was impressed with this product so thought it deserved the time. First off, the packaging and care taken to label the parts was amazing. Although I don't normally read through directions I felt the urge to, seeing how well organized everything was. The unit itself seems perfect (and much better than my old unit). The soft start is cool and the way you program the up and down limits is so easy (maybe this is how all new units are programmed though). Programmed up to both my Homelink vehicles with no real issues. When my others die I will definitely replace them with another of these units. I was not aware of the 7ft height when I ordered it, but decided to install it anyways... I was able to squeeze 7'2" out of it and that was enough to get my stock F350 through the door with a few inches to spare, although my door does stop a few inches lower than the old unit.

I was very pleased with the rapid and effecient delivery of the Genie Door opener. I was able to install the new opener myself after reading the very clear instruction book. I liked the manner in which each of the packages of necessary hardward were seperated into individual boxes and numbered. It keep the process of installation easier and efficient. Finally, when all the wiring was connected and electrical power was applied, everything worked just as it was supposed to perform. Even the programming the remotes was simple and effective. I am pleased with this product.
